Hi golgotha,

Get a piece of hose. Put your finger on one end and fill with water, make sure there is no air left in the tube. Put a finger on the second end. Place one end of the tube into the tub with your fingers still blocking both ends. Make sure the tube outside the tub is lower than the end inside the tub. Release your finger from the inside end of the tube. Now release the outside end. This should start the siphoning.

Got home from work yesterday to find this turned on its head due to 100km/hr winds we had.
Unsure as to how long it had been on its side. I stood it up again and filled it with some mix in hope that it hadnt been there too long letting the wind suck the life out of the rootball.
I had done a little wiring and anchoring in preparation for the gusty conditions. Obviously not enough. I have now staked and tied off to the ground in hope that it will stay upright in the winds that have been forecast in the near future.

What a great find! I second the siphoning idea. Had to do it heaps with fish tanks when I was little. (Luckily with no fish swallowing incidents). Spewing about the wind.. I would hope that with the cooler weather it wouldn't have dried out *too* much. Did you lose any branches in the fall?

Same here but is still early to tell.
even if they survive the initial 6 months they still need to cared for well for a few seasons to be sure
