Well this tree has certainly gone in a different direction. I got a little but lost with this one after I was told I had essentially wrecked the tree (all good, not by anyone on here) and I resigned to leave it in a state of semi styling until it either filled out and gave me a flash of inspiration, or styled itself haha. I was looking at it the other day and I guess the flash of inspiration came so today I decided to make my move.

This is the other tree I have in the study (this is my pine A) and seeing as I did some work on pine B I thought today was as good a time as any to even the playing field, and hopefully to rectify my initial mistakes. So today it got re-wired, had branches re-placed and removed, and buds selected. It has a way to go, but I think it is an improvement, and while it may never be a great tree, it could have quite a uniqueness

Here's a before (tree was changed a little since the first pics above)

Thoughts as always are most welcome

Definite improvement, but what about this?

Use you current top as a sacrifice. Let it grow unhindered for the next few seasons to get some bulk into the trunk, then cut back to this little semi cascade. While the top is growing you can start the ramification on the bottom.

That would look cool, you could also jin/carve the trunk.
