That was a very interesting read Steven. I have been doing a bit of that today, as it is to bloody hot at 42 to do anything out side except watering.
I have to go out about every hour to check on my Shito. As it is also very windy.
Combine the two and drying out is agreat possiblity. Pup :)

Yes, all very familiar after completion of bio(s) 1 and 2 at uni. 'Alternation of generations' yada-yada..
Although I did get much more excited when I saw the sporophytes on my own moss after prolonged rainfall!
