it wasnt flood waters as such, the flood waters didnt get to us from the river, but the rain was that heavy the ground couldnt take up anymore water and started flooding, had around 6 inches of water in the back yard, and more than that in the front, kept us from getting out of the property, we dont own a 4WD. but yes the pots were submerged for a long time, days and days at six inches, and it took a long time to recede, 2-3 weeks down to around the 1 inch mark. it was still raining on and off for a long time which wasnt allowing the water to drain or evaporate.

the biggest prob was I didnt have the bench space to actually get the trees up of the ground, and trying to make some temp benching was nearly impossible too. could barely get outside for ages.

That kind of rain is inconceivable to me, I think that kind of submerging wouldn't be good for plants at ground level.

thanks mate

it will slowly build up again. luckily it was only grow on stock, but still it had sent me back a long time, somewhere around the 100 odd plants went with it.

in a way I suppose I could look at the positive and see it as less work!
