Maybe not new but cool enough to show off.
A pottery friend has lent it to me with an option to buy for $70. A bargain I reckon.
I have not used it yet but I will show some pictures of my attempts as I get there. Now I won't have to spend half the time cleaning the walls at the pottery club from the mess I make
I guess that bats would be made with a jigsaw? I don't have one at the moment so that is the first obstacle

Hmm thats a hard one to explain.
The lever of the pedal conects to another lever that is conected to the flywheel. I will take a picture that may show how it works better when I get a chance if you like.

Same way as the OLD sewing machine my 92 year old grandma has. push the pedal up and down continuously and it'll turn the wheel. the faster you pedal the faster it spins...

In 1989 I left for Australia. OLD sewing machines were still used in Vietnam I have got it

Tried this out for the first time yesterday boy is it harder than the electric wheel. Will take some practice I think

Kickwheel does take some effort, not bad up to 5lbs. I've done 10lbs and it's a workout!

Good luck with the kick-wheel Brett.....I rang Uncle Kev to check on the likelihood of the electricity grid making it out to Parkes but he said that he had more important things on his plate...he suggested a wind turbine

I hooked up the wind turbine and got my son to show me how it was done and now I am starting to get the hang of this.

Legs are fine, I just have to get used to the slower wheel speed and stop trying to pump so fast . Since I have decided against worrying about bats at the moment I am limited to one pot at a time.
