Discussions about propagating from cuttings, seeds, air layers etc. Going on a dig (Yamadori) or thinking of importing? Discuss how, when and where here.

my grow bed... shhhh dont tell the Mrs

Post by makro »

Hi,

After a very informative session at Shibui nursery, i have implemented some of my learning's. First I commandeered a little piece on the quiet and converted it into my grow bed.

There are
1. few maples from Ian that I am trying to grow as triple trunks back right corner,
2. a few Elms the row on the left.
3. couple of root over rocks, using Neil's method with the Al Foil.
4. And 2 maples (bottom right )that wife and I got when we went to our 1st BNW show before we signed up.
5. A row of Azaleas that I growing as a little hedge so that it screens/hide my little plot.

Thats my weekend!

It is just possible she might notice this, even with the azalea camoflage. Maybe if you started talking about renovating the kitchen she would look the other way?

Good luck with these trees.

Wait until I see her! :shifty:

Macro you have lost the plot and should be attending bonsaiaholics anonymous.

When you lose the plot  you cannot simply start a new plot  :palm:
Q: Why are we all here?
A: Because we are not all there.

Great work mate!! :tu: Started mine about a year ago and the plants are loving it.
The real estate agent is always fascinated, when they come over to do periodic inspection of the property.
Regards, Mitchell.

Nice Macro
did you prepare the ground much? and what trees are in there?
I am going to plant out a few trees this weekend (hopefully), The soil is quite loamy and nice so was just going to dig the trees in and see how they go

I have Japanese Maples, Pomegranate, Ginko, Azalea ready to go in and already have Eucalypt, Olive, Casuarina, trident Maple and Callistimon in the ground already. I should also lift and replant these in the next few weeks
