pinus radiata

Can anyone suggest some good places to collect Pinus Radiata in NSW. I live in Sydney.
Is it possible to obtain a more mature specimen from a State Forest legally?

I have collected inland from Gosford, and have heard that around Oberon is a nice place to collect

We have plenty of pine forests, however it is illegal to collect from them, so we shall collect from the road ways, there are heaps of dirt roads which are not used very often also private roads, these trees are continuosy cut back and driven on as they are weeds, (there is a railway) that wasnt me, who said that.
There seems to be quite a few interested, so i might have to knock up something more legal mes thinks.

If people are worried about the legal aspects of collecting, here is one legal way of doing it. Pinus radiata is listed as noxious weed in NSW. It is a serious problem in the Blue Mountains National Park among others. You can apply for a National Parks & Wildlife Servise license to collect it in a couple of national parks around Sydney. There is a provision for collecting specimens for art purposes in the license application. The license takes about one month to get. Download the application form the NSW DECCW or NPWS web site. Once you get it, contact the park office and the ranger will be more than happy to show you the areas invaded by Pinus radiata. You'll be doing the work of a bush regeneration group for them.

I spent some time searching the sites, but have come up trumps.

I would be very interested to find such provisions. I was not aware of any new provisions such as National Parks & Wildlife Service license to collect any species, let alone a noxious weed. It would seem to go against every policy I know of that exists.
The acquisition for art, seems like a stupendous advancement, one which I find hard to believe, but will be joyous to see!!
I must say though last time I checked was several months ago, I assume some new system has been put in place.
