Is there a science to the dig?

Discussions about propagating from cuttings, seeds, air layers etc. Going on a dig (Yamadori) or thinking of importing? Discuss how, when and where here.

I have just skimmed over this thread and didn't see much mention of a very important word. Aftercare. A sheltered humid but well ventilated environment such as a polytunnel or a greenhouse, where a colected tree can be left alone (that means not touched at all) for at least a whole season preferably longer.
