Fertiliser cakes

Post by NathanM »

Hey guys,
It recently came up in the Winter Jobs thread about making fertiliser cakes. This came up as Ash Barns makes his own, and this “quiet” season is the time he does it.
This is something I’ve always been interested in, so Ash kindly put up the recipe, which was Deb Koreshoff’s.
Just wondering if there are many others in our community who make their own fertiliser cakes?
I think I am going to give it a crack soon :D

I used to make "cakes" to Deb's recipe a few years ago when I had a 5 acre block. I don't anymore because I no longer have a 5 acre block. ;) Stuff works well, but is really better made on a 5 acre block - where is that smelly Smile?????
Almost forgot, flies love it as well!!
