Has it flowered?

No it hasn't flowered yet as it is always growing and being trimmed.

I would get rid of straight bits if cant be bent, crank the whole composition to the left and distribute the weight left also.

I feel the toop is Ok and the left branch just needs greater development and better "padding". I really love this tree!

Tilting to the left makes sense.

I tested the branch yesterday and it(like all Leptospermum) is very stiff.

I will try to bend it first. I have never bent a Lepto before so I will let you know.

Hi Grant,

I really like this tree however like you and others I feel it needs a bit of tweaking.

I have taken the liberty of having a go at my first ever virtual. Hope you don't mind!

I've tilted it slightly to the left, rounded the canopy, added a bit of definition to the pads and put a little movement into the left hand branch/trunk.

I've removed the top section of the LH trunk in this one.

I love the look of it in Roger's pot too!

Significant improvement well done Steven. However i think Roger's pot is too heavy and clunky a shape for this tree.

I will be moving it to a larger, shallower Pat pot next October or so.

I do however like the current pot but it will soon after the repot be planted with my small PJ Fig.

Nice Job Steven,

The lower rounded canopy looks better; as I thought it would, but the minor trunk removed leaves too big a hole. I will have to work with what I have got.

Haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet and I am packing for Bonsai by the Harbour tonight.

I got bored at work and came up with the following.

The tree currently moves to the right but all the trunk and heavy 1st branch/ 2nd trunk are begging to flow the other way. So lengthen the growth on the left and shorten that on the right... combined with a slight change in angle.
