This weekend was the big potting weekend. I must admit it is the first time I have mixed bonsai mix in a contrete mixer!!! :tu:

Anyway, we started with flat cutting the base with a chainsaw, but had to get out a rock about half the size of a rugby ball first (apparently you Aussies know what a rugby ball is). Then it was simply a case of four of us manhandling it into its new home. Soil mix was 4 bags washed river sand, 1.5 bags rose and shub mix, about 750 grams of bonemeal and about the same of dried seaweed.

:cool: Now I just gotta come up with a name for the tree. A tree like this has to have a name right?

Awesome, the great thing about those big arse bonsai trees is no bastard can steal them :D
