Heavy Root Pruning Species

In line with my recent posting on root pruning privets, I was wondering if there are any other bonsai species that can be so aggressively root pruned any time of the year.

In fact let me be more specific. I would like to know what species would allow me to hack off anywehere between 50-65% of the rootball ANY time of the year and have a strong chance of survival.

But do give them some tender loving care like keeping them in a high humidity and shady enviroment until they start growing again. They are cuttings and need that.
