bought a greenhouse yesterday

Post by Mack_187 »

G'day

I went to bunnings yesterday for a look and seen some portable greenhouses on sale, they were reduced from $48 to $30. 6 foot tall with 4 shelves.

I have a couple of Mikuwa JBP's, JBP's, JRP's and Scots pines all in little 6 inch orchid pots.

They are all about 4-6 inches tall. Would it benefit them putting them in the greenhouses now ?

When would be a good time to graft these pines? Could I do it now ?

I'm also very keen on learning to propagate from cuttings, i'll be taking cuttings of everything and seeing how I go.

In Sydney, I take cuttings Year round as i have a sheletered sunny spot for them, In Geelong you might be struggling in Winter.

I have never grafted pines, but woud think Spring is the go so they are ready to grow when you do them rather than sit over winter
