Hi
I was wondering what soil do you use when potting a new bonsai in cold climite going into warm-hot climit.
and a side question is how often or what size do you repot a bonsai.

Re: planting
G'day ww007. I really dont think you need to change the soil going into a different climate but you will probably have to change watering habits and feeding regimes. It is good to repot every year or two depending on the trees growth habits. It is good practise to check the trees roots by gently easing it out of the pot and if it is rootbound then cut and repot.
