The Leaf Challenge
Hi People , here is a few leaves from my garden , the trees look great with their new foliage . Here's a simple challenge ,

good thread!
first two are liquid amber, next two are varieties of japanese maple, not sure of the first but the second I would say autropurpeum (spelling?). next is oak,
next two after that I beleive are varieties of japanese maple, not sure of the varieties. after that I would say london plane tree, next not sure, next chinese trident? normal trident, and japanese red maple
from top to bottom left to right

Top right looks like I would expect the leaf of Acer campestre the field maple to be. Many beautiful varieties of A. palmatum and A. buergerianum you have there alpine.

if that third one second row is plane tree like I think it is, they do grow up here. I have one and it is growing happily for the past year I have had it
(its actually for sale, I am only selling to try have less to move)

Well well well, i got more responses from the local school children at the show .Thanks for the guys that replied 5% are willing have a stab in the dark . Next time i may have to offer a bribe

Hi Dumper , mate this is about the challenge , and the fun of researching Bonsai material .All these are in some sort of training for Bonsai .Research can produce results and we must remember that google searches aren't always correct .I have researched every plant i have 10's of 1000's of hours have been spent on trying to I.D trees over the last 40years , long before google started . This is just a Hobby that i am passionate about , Bonsai actually came about as a result of researching pines .I was and probably still am a "hacker and chopper" but i research the plants first .
