my misty crag

After a recent visit to the sunshine coast bonsai soc. by carole waller,who demo'd an amazing kimura inspired rock piece,my friend dayne an i decided to give it a go ourselves.Only after a couple of short afternoons playing with foam and glue we finished up with some pretty nice stuff.This is my 'misty crag' rip off. Thanx again carole for the great demo and inspiration.

so the rock is actually foam thats been glued together and painted? how big is the space for the trees roots?

well done fellas, especially the styling of the tree. Not sure if im into the foam. The lines are a little too clean

Really good work! It looks stunning.
I actually found a rock yesterday that has the same kind of shape, not with the collumns like yours but but th same general shape. Can't wait to do something with it.

hey thanks all, it was fun to try somthing diffrent.dayne you mad dog get a pic of yours up i want to see it.
Jamie yeah its foam, glue an afew paints,the hole for the juni is about 9 cmx9cm an about 15 to 20 deep.plenty of room,it was transplanted out of a cascade pot with no prunning.
