Very nice -- a Hobbit-like landscape.
I'd like to see it in another pot, though. That blue is too strident, it takes the attention away from the trees.

Absolutely stunning John, I love it...and yes...it does have a hobbit aura. I agree with Lisa about the tray it's in though. I'd like to see it in a brownish earth colour. You southerners are so lucky to be able to grow elms and maples, I just love them. We don't get a proper autumn in north Qld so we miss out on the beautiful colours.

Hi John I missed this when you first put it up. Very nice trees. I am not so keen on them in the setting though. I think the root over rock is a little too different than the other two trees. Maybe this will improve in time :?: I would also want to turn that front tree slightly clockwise so that branch was not sticking straight at me.
I know you are going to hate me but I am not sure I am keen on the decoration on the side of the new pot.
I gather in a Forrest setting it looks a little contrived.

Great stuff though thanks for showing ;)
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

I love them just the way they are. I love the fine 'twiggery' (borrowed term from Jamie) and the root over rock looks right to me - since there are other rocks around - it gives it a hillside feel. Great work.

Nice trees John, I like the rocky terrain which makes it a little different frim the typical group planting and the pot is a ripper!
I am surprised to see you with a "non pine" but obviously you had at least 3 before you put them all in the one pot.
Q: Why are we all here?
A: Because we are not all there.
