Moreton Bay Fig on Rock

Post by matt.moriarty »

I am growing a moreton bay fig on a rock in a growing box which I have grown from a cutting. It is about 4 inches high now...should I start leaf pruning and wiring branches or just let i grow unfettered and worry about leaf reduction and branch structure etc in a year or two time?

Cheers

A photo would be useful in this instance. Don't attemp to reduce leaf size until you have a trunk about the size you want it, then work on branches and ramification, with leaf size reduction a part of that.
