There has been quite a few articles on small and shohin bonsai recently and I have posted some of these as well. But just to show that there are still large bonsai being developed I thought I would show a few pics of a small leaf privet that was dug a few years ago. It still needs a far bit of work, especially carving, but I am hopeful that I will be able to get this tree in a state that will allow me to put it in an exhibition in a few years time (as long as I can work out a method to move it - it currently weighs about 80kg). The beer is only for size comparison - honest!

Re: Large Bonsai
The weight really becomes an issue at re-potting time. I intend to repot in early spring so I will take a few photos to show you how I do it, but I am always open to suggestions.
