A mate of mine gave me a pot........

Post by Leigh Taafe »

Hi all,

A good friend of mine gave me this fantastic red Pat Kennedy pot. I said - I have just the tree for this pot, and today put it in it!

I know the tree has some refinement ahead of it - but how about THAT pot!!!!!

I love it!

Cheers,
Leigh.

Nice little tree. What drew you to combining the pot and the tree?
Young and hostile but not stupid.

No contraversy here Leigh. Olive and Burnt Red are at opposite sides of the colour wheel and therefor counter balance beautifully. the trunk colour and cream in the pot marry the whole lot together nicely. Great combo!!! 8-) 8-) 8-) PK not bad pot either! ;)

Well Leigh, aren't you lucky!!

If everyone's friend was to be so generous I'd be paying my bills on time!

....love the tree, the pot's beautiful...don't know about the scaffolding! :P

Thanks Leigh, you know I fancy myself as a photographic critic....forgive me!!!! ;)

Thanks for all the great comments - quite a contrast to the last time a good mate of mine gave me a PK pot and I posted it on an American forum - some of those guys are real t....'s arent they!

Hi Pat - looks great doesnt it! I needed the scaffolding to get it high enough for everyone to see! The bottom stand has a bit of a lip! I do have another larger stand that I could use, maybe I will try that! You know how I like to keep you happy!

Leigh.

The saying is actually BLUE and green should not be seen without a colour in between.......

If it were red and green nature would be breaking that rule with every red rose - every red berry, etc....

It just looks out of place with the overall picture. The moss is only growing on the tree and not around it.

Thanks Andrew - I value your opinion - and the opinion of others.

I was seconds away from cleaning it off before the pic - but then I thought "why not"

What are others' thoughts?
Cheers,
Leigh.
