Unknown Eucalypt - Anyone identify it

Hi all
As mentioned in my "Sunday Post", I picked up a Eucalypt of some sort from Riverview Nursery.
Like most trees there they are unlabelled, and they think it may Eucalyptus Ficifolia.

I already have and example of this and the leaves are slightly different. These are "softer" and have a sharper tip

Ideas?

My guess would be Eucalyptus parramattensis.

Hi Ken,

Because of the bark starting to flake at the bottom of the trunk and how the leaves look really thin, i think it could be Eucalyptus microcorys. Good luck!

i do not think it is Parramattensis as the leaves are too Stupy and Rounded I think
They are more lancelote than these ones

I have repotted this tree now and decided on a future plan

thse pics areas it came out to of the pot it was in

It had only a little soil that was hard and compacted which I removed by washing, Root pruned and potted up again

I think the plan will be to grow the tree as show being a an old trunk that has fallen over and the reshot to almost like a raft

I would like to plant it on a "sandstone" looking slab to resemble a fallen tree that is struggling on in life. It has some nice roots that will be a feature i the tree so maybe it might look OK
Suggestions?

nice idea ken, when i get back to hervey bay i will get a pic of a euc raft thats near my place i have been meaning to get for a while, i think a raft would be a good option for this, or the way your going will be good too!

I was inspired by a raft originally, but we shall see how it works out in time

Get some photos of the rafts up there please
