the only reason i posted this one here, is because i found this with hundreds of others on the side of the road at the great lakes(a huge alpine plateu lake) up in the middle of tassie, and i reckon it's native.

Yep Aaron, its the Trigger Plant, (Stylidium dilatatum probably) so called because when an insect lands on the flower, a part of the flower triggers, and whacks the insect on the bum, so dispersing pollen!!! You can trigger fully open flowers yourself with a stick or a piece of grass. The trigger then resets itself, ready for the next insect. It is a native plant and it makes a fine pot plant.
