Poor accent plant is not going to get much sun, but might be enough reflected light to keep it happy. Otherwise maybe a statue of some kind in this place?
If you are not killing plants, then you are not extending yourself as a gardener..
Great mountainside feel to it, I think Bodhi, I wonder whether a trailing plant over the front or end edge would make it more naturalistic, but then it would lose the surrealistic look which is part of the drama. Sorry if I am making it hard for your English skills, luciano, but these are the only words which really say what I mean.
This is a showstopping arrangement, and I want to talk about why I think it has such great impact, its a learning experience for me.
If you just look at the slope and trees, it looks like a mountainside, then when you look at the whole pot and arrangement it is obviously manmade and not a real mountain at all. The two opposite ideas at the same time create a picture which is both natural and not, surrealist art.
A statue at the accent place would increase the manmade feel, trailing plants would increase the natural feel, and too much more would make it crowded, lol. but your balance is just about perfect as is, will look better still as the little trees leaf out more.
Wouldnt it be good to make this 'pot' out of carved stone, or hollow logs? Such a thing would be a masterwork, but the cement has been coloured nicely, is not too obvious and you can shape it to fit the needs of the trees.
Joel although that one is more advanced, I think I like luciano's better, the trees are so big on that one that they dominate, too much lean to the naturalism Its also very pretty tho. Kimura has 'broken the edges' a bit with cascade trees, something like my trailing plants idea.
The bigger space at lower left and the accent plant in the 'cave' I think really adds to the whole picture. One thing luciano I think the place where the two slabs cross should be covered up a bit, moss or accents or a cascade tree from the right to hide the actual join.

Greth, My English is very limited, to put use the translator.
I liked them commentaries, I go to place more trees future.
The pot I made more cheap and available material , certainly I will be able to make better and more natural.
Future I will try with other materials.
