in an artistic view i offer my own opinion.. a pot similar to the first (broken egg) option, glazed in a subtle blue/grey tone... could be really nice.

Hi Amazonida,
Of the two pots you have posted my preference would be for the rectangular pot the other pot would be suited to a more wild type of tree like a semi cascade pine or juniper. I would still like to see you tree in a pot with a beautiful soft glaze in blue or cream and an oval shape.
