Hi Laethe
Tassie blue gum makes a splendid tree. I have limited experience with it as bonsai, but it suffers a 'problem' that its response to pruning is to produce what horticulturists used to call 'water shoots': large, to very large leaves and thick stems. Not the kind of reaction that a bonsaist generally aims for. don't know if persistence pays off or not. Good luck and hope to hear how you get on.
