i have already thought about that, also was thinking of a set of three or so with different varying widths between the bars to get different radius of the bends, one for a sharp bend, one for something in between and one for a sweeping bend.
what i would do is use a rubber hose line thats quite thick to protect the bark or some form of cushion like a high density foam :D
