It looks fantastic! I have one with similar foliage, but the label didn't identify it other than to say it was a Melaleuca. Is yours a bit snappy, because mine certainly is. I can't wire it without breaking the twigs off everywhere.

This one is not snappy and bends easily.

Leptospermum rotundifolium has larger, pale pink flowers. Not as prolific flowers as some others in the genus but still puts on a good show. The trees I have tried here have never grown well when subjected to bonsai techniques so I stopped trying. Maybe they don't like the potting mix I use or conditions I was keeping them in as Hanro's seems to be healthy and responding well.
Definitely worth a try.

Mine hasn't flowered since I put it in a bonsai pot. I can't remember what colour the flowers were. I will see if I have photos somewhere. Ta.Leptospermum rotundifolium has larger, pale pink flowers. It does back bud, usually after repotting which is done every 2 season
