UPDATE-
bad news unfortunately. the two seedlings i tried to get to fuse to the larger juniper have perished, i was tempted to leave them there but thought it wouldnt be a good idea. it would cause thin shari and deadwood. not what i am after.
i think in the long run it was caused by over working them.
good news, the larger of the three is still alive and healthy, well sort of healthy, showing some signs of stress, now it will be just left for a couple of years to regain vigour and health.
good news with that though i think it will make one killer literati as all of the foliage left is on top, there is one lower long branch, that will be left for now, will help get a bigger trunk and the growth overall.
this little failure hasnt stopped me from trying this, i will try again. next time, it will probly be with specimens of the same age, maybe 3-5 seedlings, will have to wait and see what is available.
its a shame, i thought it was gonna work. well untill the next episode. thanks
jamie
