I’d love to find an Elm specific book. I have both Bonsai with Japanese Maples and The Art Of Flowering Bonsai by Peter Adams, the former is especially good but Japanese and Trident Maple only
Another calm contribution by Tim

The little bonsai of bonsai. From what I understand this book will have a lot of good info on deciduous species. Gets released at the end of the month. His blog is pretty good as well.

There's a book called 'caring for your Chinese elm bonsai tree' by Bruce Bullock. I have it on Kindle but haven't read it for a few years. I'll have a browse when I have time and see how in-depth it is

Update: it is very beginner oriented. Although I don't now how much more you could write about Chinese elm as they're are so bullet proof and respond to basic wiring and pruning techniques
Life's too short for boring pots
