You have some nice ideas and some nice trees there, Dumper!

It's always great to see what everyone is upto thanks for posting them. Some of them look like they will be alot of fun to work with.

I have collected a few trees that I guessed where hackberry but was never sure. I now believe they are celtis australis like the one you posted. I went off them a bit as I noticed hackberry are one tree that is often not allowed to be transported interstate. In fact one of them is a oh are you still alive tree I spose I can give you some water
One I have used as fodder for a root over tree or strangler fig setting as suggested by Lennard Webber.

I may consider another if I find a nice one to collect but this species does not seem to have the same appeal of the hackberries I have seen from international bonsai people. What do you know about them?
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

I collected one a few weeks ago. Potted it into pure aquatic mix. It is just starting to shoot out now.

Dumper - a nice selection of trees, with good variety. I was a bit like you and was a member for a long time before posting anything but now I'm addicted.
One rule - don't post Fuschia bonsai. Reason - if my wife see's it she will won't one!!!. Just joking.
