Crab Apple

Post by treeman »

This is Malus halliana ''Parkmanii''

About 14 years or so from graft. A very pleasing flowering performance this year.

Very impressive treeman. I’ve been very anti-graft due to the usually being very obvious, but the base on this one is very interesting

I love the flowers on crab apple, do they not grow well on their own roots, or is it just this variety that needs to be grafted. I have one with a reddish leaf, absolutely no idea what variety it is, but it seems to be doing ok in my climate. Flowered for the first time this year too.
