If you have a plan to dig this up give me a call, or PM, I would love to help. Are you on the northside, it looks like Bribie dirt?
Some tips from my big tree digs.
1, WATER every chance you get. Think of how hot and windy Wednesday was. Keep a couple of 3 litre soda bottles of water in the car. Use the water from work, it's the best. Just water the bit where you want to encourage fine roots in close.
2, PRUNE, any bits that look vertical need to be off. Also any big leaves are just a waste.
3, CUT the ROOTS, about 2 feet from the tree, drive a sharp spade all the way in. Do North south east and west directions so when you come to dig you know where you have cut. If possible you should cut any big roots that go to the old stump.
4, Build a big box, looks to big for a poly box.
Good luck,
BB

Im on the Gold Coast, thanks for the offer anyway. I'll be leaving it in the ground till next winter at least. I've cut the 3 main trunks down but i think im going to reduce them further yet once i get some new buds.
