Lingnan on Chinese elms

Post by LLK »

These two Chinese elms are both seedlings of the full size tree I had in my garden. The first one dates from 1996 and the second from 2003. They will both need some pruning before leafing out, which will be pretty soon.

Very dramatic tree's Lisa.
Will be nice to see them with fresh immature vibrant green leaves :)
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Lovely energy in the branches of the first one, and a good strong trunk to carry them. I'll be interested to see how you resolve all the directions.
