Pine low Nitrogen Fertilizer

Post by Robsterios »

Having recently purchased Leong's (Bonsai South) Book of Pines in the Temporate climate. He along with others I have read recommend using a low Nitrogen fertilizer for Pines.
He recommends a product called Compact which from what I can tell is not sold locally. Can anyone recommend a product in particular? I've been pumping the Powerfeed/Seasol on all my Pines all season - (fortnightly). Maybe all good for grow stock but thinking of following his recommendations - particularly for a couple of well developed older tree's. Any thoughts contrary to the above also appreciated...cheers.

Hi There

If you give Leong a call at Bonsai South, he may be able to ship it to you.

Go to Bunning and open your eyes and look at the NPK levels on the fertilers packs. Low Nitrogen is usually n:6 and under. Rose starter and tomato starters
