Hi guys
Could you help me ID this 2 plants please
the other one is supposed to be a maple.. but I am unsure which one? It aint a common trident or japanese...

i can't really see the leaves on the first but it could be of the gleditsia family?

that maple could be a trident.. there is so many variations of the trident it is unbeleivable. in the genetics of tridents can change so much you get 1000's of variations a differentials of leaf shape and colour, bark colour and appearance, rougher or smoother etc. etc.

oooh trident.. i love tridents

does all Acer species require similar care in general or does each acer plant require different levels of care?

I dont think is it trident. The first tree is Acer Negundo - Common name is Box Elder and the second one I think is a Gleditsia triacanthus or Honeylocust.

there we go. i have 4 of these in my yard! nice plants but have REALLY soft bark which makes them prime target for borrers!

there ya go with the maple, two hits on negundo. sorry i got ya hopes up , there is alot of variations in genetics on tridents though
