Hello Komodo,

These appear to be eggs from some sort of insect.
Sorry, i cannot identify exactly if deposited from friends or foe.
To be safe I would completely remove the leaf and bin it.

Hi Komodo.

I have no idea what they are but they scrape off in 1 big flake. I only ever find them on the top of the leaf.

Thanks for the input guys. This tree was growing close to an overgrown weed that had been enjoying the water run off. A possible clue as to why they are there, I sprayed the tree in winter and spring so it's happened pretty quick.
