Collected around 8 years ago as a tuber in a rock crack. Have let it grow out but with no control over the new growth so it just grew straight and uninteresting so when I got bored with it I cut it back to the tuber. It has been kept in a very restrictive pot size and re-potted every year or two as necessary, I did lift it slightly at each re-potting and this time thought to bring it up as much as I wanted
This year having bought myself a little more time after the "give-away" I concentrated a little of giving this one some TLC.
Early days but its making it's way there.
Interesting when I started bonsai I used to look for stuff with little knotted rootballs, then as you age with bonsai you realise that's not what you want and you learn about nebari. This one is a real throwback to the knotted rootball but it is completely natural and what Mother Nature crested can't be wrong can it?
(P.S. pot is handmade from one of my three pottery classes, separate apology enclosed

Not sure of the Eucalyptus species, maybe someone can help with that?
