A Nice Little Creeper

Hey,
Does anybody know what this plant is? I think my mum called it a 'Wonga Wonga' Vine but i have no idea on the actual name. Anyway i think it has some great potential. i will post a picture in about 5 mins.

Well, I personally don't recognise it, but if it really is a "Wonga Wonga Vine" then the botanic name is "Pandorea pandorana".

Pandorea pandorana has pinnate leaves, meaning each leaf has a stem with multiple smaller leaflets. I can't tell from the photo whether your vine fits that description. Have a look at the National Botanic gardens site. They usually have good info and photos for natives http://www.anbg.gov.au/index.html.

I have no experience wih Pandoreas as bonsai. As a climber they tend to be leggy and the branches are brittle when older.

thanx. i think this tree will have some great potential in the future because i only like vines when they leaves and flowers are sort of hnaging over the edge
