Red spider mite

Hi guys,
Definetly don't have a infestation, but I have seen a few little red spider mites running around my trees.
I have a few trees I purchased recently that need repotting hence I think the trees could be weak.
A couple of trees have what appears to be leaf tip burn, but I'm thinking now the brown tips could be a side effect of the mites feeding on my trees leafs.
Can anyone recommend a good insecticide to battle these little red dots.
I'm thinking something soap based.

Hi B&B, I haven't experienced this problem myself but quick research on the net tells me:

If you can actually SEE these mites running around then they are probably the predatory kind and much larger than false spider mites or two spotted mites which actually attack plants and are so small you need either very good eyes or a mag glass to see them clearly so I'm thinking there's nothing to worry about.

Thanks guys for the quick responses. They are bright red around the size of a hundreds and thousands bal, I haven't been able to find any other description other than red spider mite. I hit the trees yesterday with confidor. Think I'll try the Yates product just to be on the safe side

I had the same as you on mine the other day. Tried take a photo on my phone but was a struggle haha.



Good to hear its not the bad kind as I chose to leave it.
