I am finding that I am spending so much time removing weeds out of my trees. I have an amount in bonsai pots as well as training pots. I struggle with time in general and find that I spend to
Much time removing weeds rather than styling trees. I would love to
Know is there something available that will kill the weeds but not harm the tree. What does every one else do? Is there an easier way than what I am doing now? Love to know.

Re: Weeds
surprisingly i dont get a lot of weeds in my pots even though i have them all on the ground. Having said that, the pots i have near the lawn tend to get more than those that are away from it and is on concrete ( or somewhere away from the garden). You could try a top dressing of large-ish rocks/pebbles/etc to try cover the potting medium in the pot (similar to how mulch works in the vege patch).
Acer buergerianum, Acer palmatum, Bougainvillea (something), Ficus microcarpa, Lagerstroemia indica 'Fauriei', Melaleuca styphelioides, Olea Europa, Prunus (something) 'Dwarf Apricot', Quercus robur, Ulmus parvifolia, Zelkova serrata

Re: Weeds
Some neat roundup and a paintbrush. If the weeds are too close to the foliage you can use aeroguard.

Re: Weeds
For a more organise Eco-friendly approach, you can try pine oil.
I have been trialling this now for several weeks, works a charm.

Re: Weeds
Aeroguard works a treat I use it on my bonsai and my native show bench orchids, does not even have to be genuine aeroguard even the aldi stuff works, of course use care when using it keeping it off the foliage as much as possible but a little won`t hurt.
Sometimes I sits and thinks and sometimes I just sits.

Re: Weeds
I pull them out. If you do it often the weeds will slow down. I find repotting yearly and washing roots helps a lot too. I avoid round-up and other weed killers- messes with other plants and likely destroys bee colonies.
