Nice!
Mine are only yellow this year. Nicer colour from the manchurian Pear, whose last few leaves have been particularly vibrant.

One has some dead nebari which are showing signs of fungal attack :-( - I'll have to grind back and dig out the lime sulphur....

Got some advice from my elders and betters. Remove the buds from the end of last season's growth - this will help back budding.

This was mentioned in the first couple of posts too and now is what i do as standard practice on mine :-). I trimmed back quite early this year.

Just about to remove the terminal buds on mine. However i've got on branch where its the only bud. I suspect removing it will kill the branch. Am j right?

I have removed them on mine and not noticed any die back. They should back shoot OK

Check to see if there's any "nodes" - buds will sprout from these spots
