Great colour on this tree and, also fruit.
It has really liked its larger pot but the pot, alas, is ugly. I have this for sale and changed the pot to make the tree put on more growth plus i did not want to sell the pot. Definitely has improved though.

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Big improvement in the shape in a short time. Looks great. What does the winter shape look like?

Hiya Boics, the tree is worth it just for its Autumn display.

Hi Edward, it produces branching readily and is starting to take shape for ramification. Maybe another five years to be impressive.EdwardH wrote:Big improvement in the shape in a short time. Looks great. What does the winter shape look like?

The peach is a challenge, had dieback on the top growth even after a course of spraying, so I'm going to transplant it into a fresh mix this season and feed hard and see what results I get, I've got grand plans for the twin trunk white pine once the weather cools a bit

Re: A grafted pear worth keeping.
This is the first time this specimen has had significant flowers and worth a look. Might get some more fruit this year :tu

This is grafted!!?! I just spent ages staring at these pics trying to spot the graft site and it has eluded me!
Nice flowers though - it looks great in bloom. Nice tree all round!

If you look at the last picture of it in flower just below the wire, that is the graft site. As the title suggests though a graft worth keeping. What you call a bloody good graft.Ryceman3 wrote:This is grafted!!?! I just spent ages staring at these pics trying to spot the graft site and it has eluded me!
