Hi, I'm very new to the world of bonsai and have recently obtained some figs and a juniper.
The juniper looks healthy and fine, but I think the figs have some pest issues.
I would really appreciate some adivce as to what's causing these problems and how to treat them.
The attachment is of the banyan fig. It has a white spider web looking bit (mites?) also black bumps (scale?).
The buddah's belly just has the black bumps.

Re: advice for banyan and buddah's belly figs
Looks like a grub has got into the cambium layer and is causing the tree to respond by putting out lots of new shoots. I would cut off the affected area and keep an eye on the plant to make sure it doesn't come back.
