Hi John,

I love the look of this pine, well done!

Do you have any other photos of the work/styling that was carried out in between 2011- now? Would love to see more photos.

Regards,

Chris

Extraordinary John! It looks like a real fantasy tree now.
Did you bend the branches by wrapping in tape/raffia and adding heavy wire? I would be interested to see some of the process.

Thanks Ash, I have used both raffia and rubber bike tubes for bending I preferred the rubber as it holds better and doesn't damage the bark when removed the rubber also starts to perish after a month or so leaving the wire to hold the bend in place.
Thanks John m

Hi,

Great result.

My Radiata looked very similar after it's first style in 2010 and responded very well and grew quite quickly. Rubber and rafia were also used on mine and lasted well.

Stay on top of it and the great result you have achieved will only get better and quite quickly.

Again well done.

Love your work
A stick in a pot is better than no stick at all. Remember even the best bonsai started as a stick.

Do the branch structures look odd to anyone or is it just me? :lost:
