[SELL] 4 evergreen conifers

Post by MoGanic »

Hi guys,

Up for sale here are two bonsai and two bonsai starters.

One is a Sergeants of unknown variety - the foliage is very nice and close to Shimpaku, but goes a bit bluish every so often, depending on how much sun it gets. Asking $100.

The next two are just two Shimpaku starters, both of which have not been styled at all - complete blank canvas. Asking $45 each.

The final is a JBP which has been styled as a Bunjin by bonsai master Uchida Yusuke. This one has sentimental value to me, but putting that aside, it has cost me $400 to get it to where it is, so I'm asking $400 for it.

If you want to make an offer on the lot, please do!

Thanks guys,
Mo

Photos appearing then wrong way round when taken in landscape is due to a setting that auto rotates them on the device, problem with that it does not work when uploa to another device.
I had to turn it off on my new camera and I note mobile phones do the same.
I will see if I can remember the terminology as it was hard to find

Thanks Ken, I think on iPhones it would be as simple as turning "auto-rotate" off? Theres an option for this in the swipe up menu.

Will test that out tonight.

Cheers,
Mo

The setting on my Pentax K5IIs is "saving Rotation info", I had to set this OFF so that the camera does not swap it round in the image file. ( note this is NOT rotation of the image onscreen display)
If that setting was on, when I used the "Rotate Image" in my file browser in on my Linux box ( Caja or Nautilus) it woud rotate on the screen but not in the file. Thus when I uploaded anything that was in prtrait mode it woud be round the wrong way.
I had to edit the file in GIMP and rotate it there which is a pain in the butt.

As you can see there is an entry in the Exif data for orientation, and this is not there on my pentax because I have turned it off.
Also you can see the image was edited by GIMP, and this was to make the orientation normal again.

Will have to have look at an unedit photo later :-)

There are many scripts for linux to fix the rotation issue, ( Dunno about windoze, but probably), but for me turning it off on the phone is easier. I am happy to turn the phone around to see them on screen and on computer I always want them in the correct aspect.

Will have to paly with phone and see what options are available.

The setting you mention will stop the screen rotation, but doubt it will tun off the Rotation settings in the Exif data, :imo:
