Watering Japan style! And a timely reminder that just because it's dark and cold outside, doesn't mean our bonsai aren't thirsty

This was a good ep, I saw the upload on his blog and straight away watched it whilst on a "lunch break" haha.

There are many ways to do things, but only one "best" way.

We seem to use our 'lunch breaks' in similar fashionMoGanic wrote:This was a good ep, I saw the upload on his blog and straight away watched it whilst on a "lunch break" haha.

Love these videos, they're inspiring and informative. I always struggle with watering during winter, always paranoid of over watering.
Have a question? The AusBonsai Wiki most likely has the answer!

Re: Watering! (The Bonsai Art of Japan - Episode 41)
Yeah, funny I was out the other night watering and my wife asked why I was watering, it's been cold the last couple of days. I replied "yeah but it hasn't rained either". "Oh yeah, didn't think of that" she says. Very easy to get caught out when it cools down, especially if there is a slight breeze blowing during the day too, the wind really dries pots out quickly. I have to work on reusing my water as I'm getting complaints about the water bill
I just blame that on living in a house with three girls
