Hi All,
Just thought i'd share another Black pine i was lucky enough to work on recently for a customer. It came out really well, but of course it makes all the difference to start with good material.

Re: Japanese Black Pine
really nice work Joe. you made the tree look as good as it can i think. i dont really like the bow in the trunk line but maybe an angle change could help that. thanks for sharing your work Joe i really like your posts.

Q: Why are we all here?
A: Because we are not all there.

Re: Japanese Black Pine
Thanks for the comments guys. The tree was wired with aluminum as I'm out of copper at the moment.
As for the bow, I don't mind it. It was much more apparent in the before image. I moved the first right hand branch across the trunk to break this up a little but as its silhouetted in the photo this doesn't really show up.
Like I said earlier, it sure helps to have good bones to start with.

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful
