Hi Pup

One of your favourite trees? It's now one of mine too? Just lovely. Well done.

To my eye you've got a beautiful balance between the oriental and the Aussie...enough formality and flair to add some excitement to the foliage, with enough looseness to represent the Australian character. And what a beautiful trunk!

I agree with your thoughts on a pot. Should look 110% in its next pot.

I don't often like the name changes, but I must say Babingtonia is pretty impressive as a name. We have Baeckeas in Tasmania still (but not your species).

Cheers, Tanglefoot

Hey thanks Aarron for doing this so well. I have never noticed really that the colour of the pot can so affect the Visual "Weight" of the composition.

Comparing these 3, the darker one looks much heavier in the base that the 2 lighter ones. To me they appear too top heavy an would need the bulk removed to "Balance the composition" a little better.

Ps I really do like the last one best for colour match tho. Toss up between that one and Vics Second offering

Hello, absolute beginner here (1st post actually) but i agree with Ken, i like the colour of the third Pat pot and the second from Vic. I just think that maybe Pats is too big. Its almost as length is almost equal to the width and height of the tree. Vics looks better because it is a little shorter. To my eye anyway.

There is a coment early on in this post that says that natives don't do well in glazed pots what that all about I have several natives in glazed pots and do not haveany problem and when they flower they look beautiful.
