If I were honest when I look at the health of this tree now compared to when it was first purchased I am either doing something wrong or its really unhappy down here on the coast in Sydney. I'm thinking a bit of both.

its certainly lost that healthy blue colour.

I too thought that when I had a brief look before.

Unfortunately I don't own one of these and have no idea about their habits.

One thing I will say is that I am caught wondering about the health of tree that I have had for years!
Winter does change the colour, appearance and hence makes one wonder re. the health of some species....
I'd like some others to chime in about how theirs are going?

Re. The progression it's certainly coming along!
However the health of your tree might be the most important item to focus on right now!

Hey Squizzy, it does look a bit less healthy compared to last year. Did you over water it? Have you taken the wire off? Did you protect it when it was 46C last summer? I've got the same plant and I live in Brisbane. I only had it for 8 months. I just repot mine. I'll let you know how mine goes during this season.

Here is the white pine showing good signs. Spring candles are popping out all over

Happy with the re growth this year. Might be worth persisting with this tree. Plenty of work to go though. I'm not putting a lot of time into the trees at the moment but hope to have a bit of time soon.
