I picked up this juniper in my local nursery a cpl months ago. Not sure of the type as it had no label...
And Secondly, would I be able to wire and slip pot at this time of year or together at all?
It's been getting a weekly dose of seasol and alternating fortnightly doses of charlie carp and miracle grow max feed, same as my other trees, how does that sound for a fert schedule and can anyone id this for me too please.
Thanks in advance eeveryone.
This being my first juniper I just had a couple questions. I wanted to try and bend and twist the trunk as much as I could and slip pot it into a larger grow box to thicken and mangle the trunk as much as I could.
My first drawback is that the trunk doesn't feel as flexible as I believed they were, so how much of a bend would I be able to put in a trunk this thick already and the best method to use. Would rafia and 5mm wire be enough or the wire under the rafia and wired again? I really don't feel I would manage boring a hole down the trunk into the heart wood though, a bit beyond my experiance levels...first juniper (of some sort) prebonsai

You can certainly bend this one using wire and Raffia, no need to spliit or drill.
Check out my Juniper Comp tree for some idea on how I do it

Thanks Ken
I've actually got that post bookmarked already, you did your work in May, could this type of bending be done now? and could I slip pot it into a styro box after the work is done?
